Mass Shooting in Stockton Four Killed at California Family Gathering

A family celebration in Stockton, California, turned into a heartbreaking tragedy when a gunman opened fire during a child’s birthday party on November 29, 2025. The shooting happened inside a packed banquet hall on Lucile Avenue, where dozens of parents, relatives, and children had gathered to enjoy the evening.

According to authorities, 14 people were shot in the attack. Four victims lost their lives, while the remaining ten — including several children — were rushed to nearby hospitals with serious injuries. Emergency crews described the scene as chaotic, with multiple victims needing immediate medical attention.

Witnesses said the celebration was full of music and laughter until gunfire suddenly erupted. Families ran in every direction, trying to shield their loved ones. Some parents carried their injured children outside while others hid behind tables and decorations. Many described the moment as “pure panic.”

Police believe the shooting may have been targeted, though they have not yet confirmed a motive. No arrests have been made, and investigators are reviewing surveillance footage, interviewing witnesses, and asking anyone with information to come forward.

The Stockton community is devastated. Local leaders called the attack “unimaginable,” especially because it happened at an event meant for children. Community members have begun leaving flowers, candles, and messages of support outside the banquet hall.

As the investigation continues, families and neighbors are mourning the victims, praying for the injured, and hoping justice will soon be served.
