On the early morning of Sunday, July 20, 2025, Eliotte was last seen leaving Bronco's Bar in downtown La Crosse around 2:30 a.m. Surveillance footage captured her walking along Front Street South, near the Mississippi River, at approximately 3:22 a.m. After that, she seemingly vanished without a trace.

After four agonizing days of searching, the Houston County Sheriff's Office confirmed that a body matching Eliotte’s description was found in the Mississippi River near Brownsville, Minnesota, roughly 10–15 miles downstream from La Crosse.
